Range day report
On Saturday, I went to the range with my AR, the Hornet, and the airgun. Took my father in law (Paul), too.
I had put a new trigger in the AR (from Elftmann) and was looking forward to trying it out. It did not disappoint. So much nicer than the stock trigger. 60 rounds thru and I'm pretty sure the new trigger helped my accuracy at 100 yards. I won't win any shooting matches but no zombie is gonna get to 99 yards, either. So there's that.
I put 18 rounds thru the Hornet. The way it looks, the way it shoulders, the way it sounds...everything is top shelf. And it hits where I point it. 'nuff said. At 100 yards, it doesn't let me down.
And then there's the air rifle, the FX Crown. All I did was sight it in at 25 yards but when I was done, I was shooting ragged holes again and again. Gonna see how it does at 50 yards this coming weekend in an accuracy battle with the Tikka T1x. Could be a close contest.
Paul shot his old Remington 550. He had a standard size target but could have gotten away with using a playing card. The man can shoot with iron sights. He also brought along his Ruger Gp100, a 3" barrel 357magnum. That's a fine piece of revolver workmanship right there.
Is there anything more fun than a day at the range? 😊

Tomorrow is my range day I'll be shooting my mini mauser and my no 5 mk 1. It will not result in any records broken but it will be fun.
Sounds like a great outing to me !!!
