Some of you know that I own a small house in Independence Kansas... I'm going to finally see it and see what I want to do with it.... Well the other day I was looking at real estate and came across a pretty nice farmhouse with 15 acre's.... The price was more than right and would fit our needs. In fact the seller would throw in another 5 acre's and a barn for not a whole lot.... Anyone from around Independence?

Sounds very tempting,
sure sounds like a sweet deal
all I know about Kansas is watch for the weather and be careful you may wake up in the land of OZ 😁
Talk with Wundudnee, He is near Topeka, but has been there a long time and knows things and people.
Hot and humid ,,,,,,,, 😥
I have a cousin who lives about 35 miles north in Kearney, he has lived there for close to 30 years, originally from Long Island , NY. He is very happy there, cold in winter but not much snow, hot and humid in summer, reasonable taxes, and gun friendly state.
no matter where you live there is always some kind of weather that a person may hate or fear, or can't adjust to.
Overall It is a good state to live in, you are near Kansas City , very few drawbacks, if a New Yorker could adapt and love the area I would think most could and can.
