My Military Veteran Brother and his Wife, live in Farmington, NM. (Extreme NW part of the State.) So, I follow what goes on there. It's just sad. Not for me, although beautiful country. (I have lived out that way, before.)
As an aside, My Son and his longtime Girlfriend moved from CO about a year ago, because "It was becoming too Liberal." Where did they move to?

Liberalism is like a cancer, and free states as I’ve heard them called are not immune from this cancer. I read that article this morning and just shook my head. They like to use the word, (root cause) but have no idea of what it is. They say it’s the gun when it isn’t. It’s gangs, drugs, no punishment for criminals, illegals treaded as honored House guests, and no respect for the constitution what so ever. The sad part is law enforcement will enforce this stupid whim she came up with.

I posted this last night on an extremely liberal "news" site to show the absurdity of the 30 day ban;
So an announcement has just been made that all law-abiding citizens of Albuquerque will be disarmed for 30 days. Of course, criminals who by definition are law breakers, are overjoyed. After all being a criminal is dangerous and their profession just got a little less hazardous.
Naturally the first reply was that I was a Russian troll.😁

Just met couple of families that a related to each other that made a big move from MA to Okla.
I asked why the move to Okie land.
They indicated it getting worse than Bravo mentioned.
Had to get out because mainly we like guns and hunting AND ALSO do not want to raise our kids in the MA environment. (and do not like the MA schools way of teaching (brainwashing)
In truth, the gov is not stupid. She knows this will not work. She wants to bring attention to the problem. Guns are the number one cause of death to those ages 1 to 19 in this state. We are number the 7th state in gun deaths, meaning 6 other states have more baby killers than we do. If we gun folks keep saying, "We have second amendment rights", and we damn sure do, we will certainly will lose them. We need to be part of the solution. I have no children so I am guessing at my response. I have a .45 caliber and a .38/9mm hole in my carport roof from New Years celebrations. If it were my child, i would be on the hunt. No quarter asked, and none given.

Punishing the law abiding to bring about a solution from the law abiding to a problem not caused by the law abiding is not any sort of new approach. But it is the sort of twisted logic that only ever leads to further removal of the rights and loss of freedom of the law abiding. I am weary of that game and dread the solution that it will bring.
We used to have swift justice to act as a deterrent to aberrant behaviour and it worked fairly well. Getting back to those routes would suit me a lot better.
Ultimately, that's the sort of solution they're going to (unwittingly) bring about. Unfortunately, they will probably get it in the form of vigilanteism. And if the leaders aren't careful, they're likely to find they're on one of the short rope drops, for their infringements. It's not something I advocate, but I've read a history book.

With due respect, I do not believe we have a culture problem at all based on the intent of our countries founding fathers. IMHO What we have is a counter-culture problem brought about and glamourized by the radical left. Further, the counter-culture I speak of is fully entrenched in the DEMOCRAT party.

U.S. District Judge David Urias granted a temporary restraining order to block the governor's suspension of Gun Rights. Ironic that he was appointed by Seepy Joe but the judge felt compelled to follow the Constitution.

The Governor has no authority to suspend the constitution. She should be arrested.
There is no need to take it any farther and thus legitimize her criminal acts. That is the problem with the USA, too many lawyers who don't know squat.
