So working up a softer shooting deer load for my son.
Settled on 130 grain Barnes Tipped TSX over 30.5 grains of CFE 223 with a CCI magnum primer.
Clocks at just over 2000fps at the muzzle making it's 100 yard impact velocity at 1820 fps... effectively making this a two shot only (one in chamber, one in the magazine) 100 yard and in gun...but it recoils very mild and is very accurate out of his rifle.
