Range Day....the pistol caliber carbine thread got me thinking
Beautiful day in Missouri today. Packed up my Ruger Super Redhawk and Ruger 77/44 as well as my oldest 10/22 and headed out. I sighted in the SRH at 25 yards and worked with the 77/44 at 50 yards. I figure this year I should be able to get out there and hunt a lot more than last year and I have not shot a whitetail with either of these firearms. I am pretty confident with both now. I shot a whole box of .44 mag today which I have not done in years.... Love that big boom !!!!
Ended the day with a Ruger 10/22 my bride bought me for Christmas in 1984. I got it back on target at 50 yards and ended the day picking off pieces of clay pigeons at 100 yards. Hard to believe I have owned that gun almost 40 years..
Packed up and fished for an hour or so. Four Bass and four bluegills. The weather changed and the wind came up so I was finished after that...
It was a good day....How was yours ?
Comments
Not near as good as yours
Well damn sure not as good as that!
Out here you can eat 3 bluegill a month due to heavy metals and other metals from mine tailing run off.
When is your calendar open for another visit?😃
Maybe I should not put a 'Like" on that comment....😉
Wm81, I appreciate the like, but what about a fishing date, Bluegill you can actually eat are thin on the ground here in the high desert! 😁
The pond across the road is full of them.....The owner of the lake wants them thinned out........
Next time you roll though I can hook you up !!! So to speak !!! 😉
