Range report on the new Girsan tip up barrel

Been a month or so since I first saw the new offering from EAA which was a copy of the original Beretta .380acp with a tip up barrel. An interesting and useful design so I purchased one. Being a previous customer of the Girsan products & very satisfied with all of them, I had no reserves in this purchase.

Well it was not disappointing, spent yesterday at the range and had the opportunity to shoot several different bullet types thru the gun. Including some reloads. Everything about the gun functions well. The only misfeed was from a recessed hollow point. Most of us know better than to carry hollow points in a 380 anyway. Gun was reasonably on target at 15 yards, minimal recoil for an alloy frame, and very visible sights. I also purchased two beretta 13 rounds mags as spares which also worked excellent.

All in all, I would recommend it as a carry gun and very easy to load especially for someone with aging hands. Tip up barrel is easily accessed by a right side mounted lever and a simple downward push locks it in position. Double action & a hammer drop safety. All these features for a reasonable price.

My evaluation: 👍️👍️
