How did you make out with those 40 grain , 22 hornet reloads????? Was looking for a range report. I found that the 40 grain was the best out of my Ruger 77/22. Oakie

Haven't put them together yet. Still shooting the factory 45 grains and hand-loaded 50 grain.
When I get to the 40 grain Hornet rounds, I'll definitely do a write up with some pics comparing the 40, 45, and 50 grain rounds.

I think you are going to like the 40 grain the most. I reloaded quite a few of these for friends, that have the Ruger 77/22 and they all loved them. That gun is such a joy to shoot and hunt with. It is my go to for coyotes and small game hunting up in PA.
I really need to get to the outdoor range more often. But, because I love hanging with my father in law so much, I shoot indoors 99% of the time because that range is a short drive for each of us. The outdoor range is about quite a bit further for him.
And shooting the Hornet at indoors at 25 yards results isn't a good test of ammo accuracy. 😊

wish you lived near me, I could take you to my range. We now have up to 600 yards. 300 acre facility and everything to shoot from archery to rifle to sporting clays, all for 200 a year. If you ever need anything for the hornet, don't be afraid to pm me. Rocky taught me how to reload for it. It has totally consumed me for years. I use to love his site, "Rocky's reloading room". Shame he doesn't still have it, but he is still on here if I need to ask questions. One guy I trust, besides my father, when it comes to reloading.
