I took this pic at Grace Episcopal Church in Asheville yesterday.

That is a great crop. Most farmers in this area lost their crops to flooding from heavy rain in July.
Pumpkins are scarce, small and expensive.
They set up on a hill, all the traffic headed north on Merrimon Ave gets a great view.
Allen, I love Asheville. My wife and I love the huge antique market they had there. We spent an entire day there, buying a lot of stuff. I remember that church, and think we have a picture of it somewhere. Never did tour Biltmore estates. 80 buck to look at some old house!!!! Not my cup of tea.
now that's a lot of pumpkin's I wish them a good return on the pumpkins.
also wow I hope the great pumpkin showed up for them the one Linus from Charlie brown always waited on
a couple years back a nephew brought over I am guessing 30 maybe 40 or so we used as targets he bought them for 50 cents each at a farmers market where his dad and brother set up
Fried pumpkin season, yum yum.
A target rich environment !
A few years ago when my youngest grandson was 5 - 7 yo, I got a couple of large pumpkins that the local produce stand was throwing away. I showed him what a 12 ga. and a .44 sp. would do to them, and impressed on him that the same could happen with a person, by accident - then we spent plenty of time on the backyard range with a .22 to learn the proper way. Told him all he had to do was ask, and never had him try to sneak out a firearm without supervision.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Ok picture all the pumpkin sellers around here none are bigger than a basket ball this year
Getting into church. Must have been a challenge.
