4 legged alarm clock

This morning about 5:00 I was rousted out of a nice dream by the howling of a coyote. When we first moved here they were around all the time. Every night I would hear them howling at or to each other. I got so I really liked hearing them and would open the closest window to get the full effect.

About that time the coyote hunters decimated the population and I hadn't heard any until this morning.

At first in my groggy state of mind, I thought it was a wolf. Then I came to my senses and realized the chances of that were extremely low.

Country living is the best.

...a pack of yotes yipping and fighting half the night is not favorite lullaby, but I don't actively hunt 'em anymore...there used to be a bounty around here for a pair of their ears, don't know if that is still goes...I know there is no shortage of those things around here... chickens, rabbits, and small dogs are all on the menu...

    Smoke 'em all.

Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain
