Actual Gun thread...... 10mm opinions

I handled a Sig 320 in 10mm yesterday at a local gun shop. Felt great in my hands, well balanced etc...
So I started thinking, this might be a decent Handgun hunting firearm for whitetail...
A few 10mm questions
Does anyone own or have you fired the Sig 320 10mm ?
If you own a 10mm, what do you have and what is your opinion of it
Have you used it in a hunting situation ?
Thanks and I look forward to some opinions and experiences with the 10mm

I use the 10mm anywhere I would consider using a 357 mag.
I have the Smith and Wesson 610 and 1006
10mm in a 1911.
I don't hunt anymore. I just carry it when out in the hills of Idaho where we regularly see bears.

I have a Glock 29 and I use it for things that are hunting me.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain

I have a Glock 20 - a Turkish made Girsan - 2 Springfield Armory Omega's - and a Star MegaStar. The MegaStar is heavy but I can be the most accurate with it - the Springfield Omega's next - the rest all about the same for me.

S&W 610.
I love a wheel gun.
S&W 1006, Its a big and heavy accurate beast made for hot loads & I have developed a few.
I got a good deal on a Delta Elite a few years ago. I started reloading for it and read about not shooting full power loads through it.
Fast forward to last Christmas. My wife bought a 1006 from her brother and gave it to me. That gun will eat anything I run through it, accurately.
I wouldn't hesitate to hunt deer with it from a treestand.
Are gun threads even allowed here any longer?
Sorry, couldn't resist. Otherwise I got nothing, never even held a 10mm.
I bought a Taylor&Co.(Rock Island) 10mm 1911 last year and am pretty impressed with it.A couple of months ago I bought a Glock model 40 MOS and mounted a Bushnell red dot but have yet to sight it in.Ammo and brass was in short supply and Palmetto State was (or may still be) selling AAC 180 grain for 20 bucks a box.I bought a couple of boxes and its fairly hot and shoots very well out of my guns so I bought 12 more boxes. With the price of components I probably come out better buying good ammo at $20 for 50 rounds than trying to load my own.
Speaking in the royal plural, or did you mean the wife gets what she wants?

The path of least resistance. 😁
I have one of those Smith and Wesson M&P 10mm's. It hits steel plates rather hard.
Got a S&W1076 when she was dirt cheap like under $500 on here. with paperwork back 25 some years. These days the magazines alone are in silly prices. Everytime I go to a new gun shop I ask if they have 10mm magazines kicking around. I picked up a pair for $50. when I picked up a Uberti Bisley. Dude got back the money I kicked him down on the Uberti and I got a pair for cheap. The 1076 with the straight back grips fit my hand well and it's less heavy than the 1006. Had her sent back when the decocker went wonky. Since then no issues.
Then the S&W610-2 with a 6" barrel. Ah she is a chunky chunk who takes moon clips. Also bought cheap through here way back when. Being able to shoot 10mm and .40S&W was one of the reasons I bought her. Also I could hunt pigs with her. She's topped with Leupold 2X (or was it a 4X?) I know it's a Leupold. No pigs yet.
Then the Kriss Vector CRB. Love that thing even though she has the silly grip fin. Thank you California for keeping me "safe". I should've bought a G20 to share the magazines but I didn't buy a Glock until after the Vector. Then I went on a long Top Ramen diet to buy the Springfield M-25. Then had to stock up on ammo before California went on the silly background check to buy ammo. The Kriss Vector came with a jacked up bolt face. Some silly bugger made the firing pin hole a football shape. She ran but made the primer look like an outie. Belly button that is. Sent the bolt back and they sent back something a little better but it's still not a circle. She is still fun.
Waiting for the silly California magazine ban to go away so I can buy MagEx2. People at Vector wouldn't send them to me during the Freedom Week. 33 rounds of 10mm will be expensive (half a box and change). Now I did wish they made a .40S&W upper but .40S&W fell out of favor. Oh well.
Don't have actual 10mm, but a SIG in 40 S&W with a .357 SIG change out barrel.
Personally, I would avoid the Sig P320 till they figure out why they are firing while holstered. Or carry it chamber empty.
I have a Springfield XDM-10mm. I prefer shooting 40sw out of it. During Covid when ammo prices went insane, I stocked up on a couple 100rds of Buffalo Bore 10mm. If you are gonna pay a buck a round, get ammo that is worth it.
I bought the XDM before the S&W 10mm came into existence.
I don't shoot well with Glock 20/21 sized guns. They are too big for my hands. I still have a Glock 21 that I'm tempted to covert to a 20 via a slide and barrel kit.
Seems like a gun would be lighter.

Last time I looked on that ammo seeking website, 40SW was the 2nd least expensive bulk defensive caliber handgun ammo available.
1st is always 9mm.
I shoot 40SW out my XDM 10mm barrel. "It shouldn't work but it does."
I find that frightening....
I got lucky this summer and picked up a Super 14 T/C barrel , have yet to do any thing with it but hope to carry it this deer season , I'm thinking real hard about having a muzzle brake of some kind put on it to bring it to 16 1/4" so i could make it into a legal short single shot carbine , just don't know if it would be worth the cost > two hundred bucks or so
Ruger "Buckeye" Blackhawk: I have two of 'em. The hottest factory load I've tried is Winchester 175 gr. Silver Tip HP. Chrono's @ 1335 fps for 692 ft. lbs. Only a few of my handloads reach that level. Of course, handloads in the .38-40 cylinder will shade that by quite a bit but still, that's pretty good performance for an auto-pistol cartridge.
I looked for a bird shot round in 10mm. Nobody makes them. Someone on here said that the 40 cal birdshot works just fine in a 10mm.
I just keep a couple of bird shot rounds in my pocket just in case a forest grouse temps me.
