I wanted this gun so bad. It is going into my collection. I know I might have paid a little too much, but money can't buy the happiness I will get from this firearm. As many of you know, I collect Marlins and wanted this particular caliber in a Marlin, for about twenty years. I finally found the right one. Happy sixtieth birthday to me!! Oakie😀😀😀

Great looking rifle. Glad you got the one you wanted. Did he include the tape measure?

Congratulations, that's a nice one. It'll only go up in value.
I asked, he said no.
Congrats, Oakie! You need this to go with it.
Can't put a price limit on a favorite hobby.....
Congratulations I know you've been looking for awhile
Way to go oakie! That looks like a great find. Good things come to he who waits, even if it is 20 years.😊
@NeoBlackdog that is one rough looking Hawkeye. I remember in the mid 80's several distributors still had them in inventory and giving massive discounts to get rid of them. I thought about it and figured since they couldn't sell them way below wholesale, I'd never get my money back if I bought a couple so I passed. Looking at what they are bringing now, that was another of my not so bright decisions. 😖 Bob
Congratulations Oakie 🎇🎂🎉🎊🪅🥳

Sounds to me like money did indeed buy some happiness.😊
Good for you he made you work for it.
Well bought in my opinion.
Nice rifle, I have his Grand dad, an 1894 in 25-20.
Deal breaker ............ 😁
I had quit bidding and was so disappointed. Them my wife said to me, You been looking for that stupid gun for years, just bid one more time. Donna actually talked me into to it. I had already conceded and was going to buy a 1894cb 45 instead. After all was done and said, I felt a wave of relief. I thought that guys was going to win it for sure. I was at my limit for what I wanted to spend, when it ended.
I have one in 25-20 and 32-20 cowboy. last on my list is the grandbaby 218 bee. That will probably be my next one.
Grab it while you can, might never pop up again.
Now the burning question, what does the lady of the house want in return?
Grins
That shoe hasn't dropped yet!!! After 40 years of marriage, I know it is coming.😉. Funny thing is, My dad made the same comment !!!!!!!!!!!
