Today at the gun show. Taking him some stuff I don't want, to sell at his table. I will try to remember to take a picture. This is a great show. I passed by his table many times before, but didn't know it was him. If you are reading this, see ya all at the show Mike. Oakie

I guess Mike didn't do this show, as there were three other shows this weekend. I dragged around a few gun parts, that I wanted to give him to sell. I had no use for them and figured maybe he could make a buck off them. Anyway, the show stunk to high heaven. 1,500 tables and nobody there!!!!!!!!!!! The place was dead. You could walk down all the isles like you owned the place. I sold a franken gun that my dad gave me years ago. It had all different parts from different rifles on it. Guy gave me 400 for it as a parts gun. Prices were stupid. 1,200 for a marlin 30-30 beat to heck. 90 bucks for a box of 243 ammo. Primers over 180 bucks a box and so on. Most of the usual dealers were either sleeping in their booths, or didn't show up. I didn't buy a thing, except a confederate flag patch for my backpack.

Here is the worst part. I came out to get in my new pickup and see an envelope under my wiper. Yup, some guy hit the passenger side front and took the paint off and put a little dent in it. I called him and he came right out. Super nice young man. I told him I wasn't mad and got him to laugh. It was an accident and no sense in getting mad. It wasn't going to solve anything. I told him I was appreciative that he left all his info and a number. I will turn it into insurance and he offered to pay the deductible. All good. He offered to buy me lunch. I told him, for the prices they charge in there, you better save your money to pay for the deductible, it would be cheaper. All in all, that is the very last show for me, for a while. Think I will just stick to GB, or just go to a show, to keep dad company. Hope you guys in other parts have better luck or deals at your shows. Oakie
