This nest is 40 feet off the ground. Looks like this guy is set for winter.

Nice pics. Looks like he has a nice cozy home for the winter.
Great pics thanks for sharing !!
Good thing Franks Raccoon's didn't live near there...
One Deer season a couple of Grey squirrels had a home in a big tall Red Oak about 40 ft up and the hole was just large enough for them to squeeze in out. I would watch them from about 50 yards away while sitting on my deer stand.
One day I seen them gathering lots of leaves and they would have so many in their mouth that they would have to drop some to get the leaves inside the hole in the tree. Also seen them busy burying acorns and taking acorns to the hole in the tree.
Couple days later the weather man predicted really cold weather coming.
Them squirrels knew such before me and the weather man.
Or they always do it that time of year to be ready.
Thanks for fixing the pic, susie. The pic flipping that the forum does is aggravating.
I got two of them brown/red tree rats running around near my condo. Never seen them in all my 40 years living here. I know they live out in Fort Ord in the East Garrison area and in order for them to get to me they would have to travel. Pretty sure some moron's been feeding them since they look at me with the expression "whats you got for me?" instead of running off quick. I just hope they don't use my joint as a vacation home.
[picture flipped] They're cute, but they gnaw on the dovetail notches that I went to so much trouble to make. In other words, squirrels are eating my house!
