1) Topper
2) Buttermilk
3) Silver
4) Tony
5) Trigger
6) Scout
7) Champion
8) White Flash
I will concede that I didn't know White Flash but in my defense his cowboy is probably the least known on this list. So how many cowboys do you know off this list??
BONUS QUESTION.....................Who is Bullet?????
Comments
3, 5, I'm sure of some of the others I have a guess, and I believe if you mess with Bullet you may get bit...
I'll add Ruth and Festus.
Ruth would, without question, be the best "mount" of the bunch!! 😁
Topper - Hopalong Cassidy
Buttermilk - Dale Evans
Silver - the Lone Ranger
Tony - Tom Mix
Trigger - Roy Rogers
Scout - Tonto
Champion - Gene Autry
Bullet - Roy's Dog
Nellie Belle - Pat Brady
I had to search White Flash too. I don't remember seeing a movie with his cowboy.
You guys are somewhat older then me. I just missed this generation. Born in 63. I do know who Bass Reeves is though. He had an interesting life.
Cisco Kid-Diablo
Songbird---------well let's see how good you 🤡 are/
Songbird was Sky Kings Cessna.
Are there prizes dreher? 🤣
Bullet is the Roger's German Shepherd. I saw him stuffed as well as Trigger and Buttermilk. Trigger-Roy Buttermilk-Dale
Silver belongs to the Lone Ranger?
"Independence Now, Independence Forever."
John Adams
Silver was ridden by the Lone Ranger, he was probably not owned by either actor that appeared as the Lone Ranger.
Some TV horse trivia for ya'll.
The horse Matt Dillon (James Arness) rode on much of the show Gunsmoke was named "Buck" and only was mentioned by name in just one episode where Festus puts a name to him.
Buck, was also used as Ben Cartwright's horse on "Bonanza" and was purchased by Lorne Green after the show ended. Green later gave the horse to a riding center for physically and mentally challenged kids where he became a teaching horse. Buck lived a long life of 45 years!
