I started to read this book and I have to say if "Forest Gump" is anything like this book I'll have to get that. The book Gump is way different than the movie Gump. Also the book is written in Southern Vernacular (read hooked on phonics spelling). Not as bad as "Trainspotting"I couldn't get past couple of pages on that. This one I need books on tape (no not sticky tape).
Also Winston Groom wrote a couple of books I wanna try to track down like "Better Times Than These" about the Vietnam War, "Gumpisms" I reckon it's a book about how life is like a box of chocolates? And "Forest Gump.

I read the book, and it wasn't even close to the movie. Still good, though.
I just read the book True Grit... I was really good.
"Independence Now, Independence Forever."

jimdeere - That's what I was thinking. Totally different from the movie.
KenK/84Bravo - Checked on your "my Care-O-Meter"? If Gary Sinise does nothing else but Lt. Dan Band he done enough.
Lady Rae - So is it like the movie or totally different?
