A fun Friday.........A few pics. Shooting…bass…Eagles

My Bride and I headed out late morning and drove over to a nearby town and ate lunch at great little place we enjoy. They specialize in some great New Orleans style dishes. Best Gumbo I have eaten North of New Orleans!!!

We drove over to a conservation area where there is a 100 yard outdoor range and I sighted in both of my main hunting rifles. There are also two lakes in the area and I fished some lily pad sticks and caught 11 small bass. The weather got weird while I fished. A big front came through and the temp dropped almost 20 degrees and the winds came up with a little rain so had to cut the fishing short...

At the far end of the conservation area, we watched a large eagle nest. Today there were half a dozen eagles in the area. I was really bummed that I did not have my 500mm zoom lens with us. So excuse the poor quality pics as I had to crop the pics down and lost a lot of resolution.

Hit a Dairy Queen on the way home for a snack. Just got home and settled in.... A short nap may be in my future !!
