Help to Identify 35MM Antique Shell Head Thanks

Looking to identify and if any value to this old shell mounted on this stone base. Hopefully inert? measures approx 35mm across base 3 5/16"long. thanks for any help

    Without the shell casing this is a long shot, but it looks like it might be a 37mm Hotchkiss round. If a Civil War battlefield pickup it may have had a percussion cap fuse. Later in the 1890s, Winchester produced the 37mm for the Army.

    You have a fired 37 mm shell, WW1 vintage and if you had the casing it would worth around $ 40, as it sits $10. The front fuse after hitting an object is obliterated, you can look inside from the base and see if any residue is left. This is mine, unfired, solid iron base.
