Parts of California is masking up again.

I half heard San Mateo (North of me near San Francisco) is headed to making health workers to wear masks again. So here we go again. Just in time with the biden run. If dude wears a mask we won't be able to see him drooling.

Visited Washington near Seattle this summer. Seemed like out of every ten people, at least 3 or 4 were still wearing face diapers. I really think they like the secure feeling it gives them. Even saw a young man in some junky Toyota with a wing on the back wearing a mask when he drove by- no one in the car with him, but he had his mask on.

VA just recently did away with the mandate, they stopped a while back for patients but still made employee's wear them. I was in just a week back and they had taken down the plexiglass shields in front of all the desks!! I was teasing the girls about how if felt to finally be out of covid jail........ still saw a few, patients, employees wearing them, but it should be their CHOICE not mandated by the gov't

Seeing more here too. Lots of folks wearing them below their nose. Waste of effort, they do noting without good coverage, but otherwise do help. It's almost entirely airborne, so the masks help stop it from getting to your nose. M95 is best, but even bandanas and silly fashionable cloth masks are better than nothing.

Wife and I just had a three week stint with covid, I dug the masks out again, hoping they help someone else from getting that miserable crap.

Cloth masks are a joke. They do not protect you from sick people. If you’re looking for that kind of protection you need an NCB mask, nuclear, chemical, biological mask. With Paxlovid now on the market there is no need to fear this Covid virus. Myself I think more people died from heart attacks and strokes when told they were told they had Covid because they thought it was a death sentence. They should rename Covid and call it the liars virus, account of all the lies it created.

My favorite is watching them drive alone in a mask or my neighbor out on the ranch taking daily walks around her property in a mask. (It did make her look dumber than normal)The only person I know who still asking you to wear a mask is our

small pharmacy...and I know why, so many elderly use it and the owner is the only pharmacist.

...oh well, its Commie-Fornia with that greasy hair used car salesman looking Newsom as Governor...Governor Abbott passed a law here making it against the law for mask mandates in state/local Government buildings and other buildings...if any building ever puts that stupid sign on their door again, I wont go in....CA just wants to say "jump" and the only words they want to hear is "how high?"....they can stuff it...

My wife wore a Double M95 mask at work all day, and then a single one coming home. Got covid twice. Those mask don't do anything in my opinion.

Just prior to COVID, TN passed a law making it illegal to wear a mask in public, with some exceptions like Halloween. Once COVID hit, nothing else was said about it. I suspect they quietly repealed it.

    Total stupid JMHO

There is no way a paper mask can stop mircopstic germs from being spread

They may keep some one from spitting on you would be about it

The courts and medical profession even owed up to it they provided no benefit except lining pockets

Early on, in the "pandemic", I used my old large camo handkerchief around town.

While waiting in line at the counter..........it dawned on me that I never even remotely thought, in my wildest dreams..........I would EVER wear a camouflage mask......INSIDE A BANK.

    ............and NOT be SHOT!!!! 🤯

62vld2042  - I once asked a teller at my bank if hold up started to increase with mask wearing early in covid days. She said no but I do live in a relative small town. I also thought she was told to say that, too.

There was a youtube video, it has since of course been scrubbed. A doctor, an American MD, posted a 3 minute video. He had a vape pen, just tobacco. He had the 4 main masks that were being used. He put on one mask, he lifted it up and then inhaled from the vape. He put the mask on tightly, and exhaled. Half of the smoke went past the mask, blown up past his nose, or blown down below his chin. All 4 masks were equally ineffective

You didn't need a PhD in Medicine to see that the mask simply don't work.

    Go get 'em, Dr. Fauchi.

Just seen the town paper from Carmel The Pine Cone mentioned that the Community Hospital Of Monterey is bringing back masking. So the shots and boosters ain't far behind. After half my face froze I'll be looking for a different job if they insist on me rolling up the sleeve.

Better check on capital gains and inflation being I'll be lucky to get half of what my joint might be worth.

When I was stationed in Japan in the early 70s,many people were wearing mask.I ask one of our Gunnys that was married to a Japanese lady about it.If they were sick or thought they may be,they were very concerned with spreading it to others so they wore a mask in public. As far as wearing a mask here,I dont care. What you do is none of my business.

The bad thing about masks is my dad reads lips because his ears are so damaged. So he has a lot of trouble at the back and the VA is the worst because it's under federal mandate... The whole thing is unbelievable.

And my mask became a lipstick blotter.
