Clothing Question #2 - Hunting Camo for cold weather

When Deer hunting, I never wore hunting camo. I always went with greens instead of a camo pattern.
Well I picked up a waterproof insulated Camo coat and with matching Camo pants for Walmart. The problem with it is it's noisy as hell. You can hear me as I walk from that waterproof internal layer. Almost sounds like I'm wearing a plastic trash bag.
What all do you guys wear for camo and is it noisy?

Redhead scent-lock from Bass Pro. It works, got this guy Monday evening while wearing it.
Apparently we're both tired, so we're laying down, lol.
More like what Gregor wears, but lighter colors for desert mountains. You are going to need to make a run up to Springfield.
I've got a snow camo poncho affair that I wear over my insulated Carhart clothes.
Insulated duck cloth bib overalls and a mossy oak camo coat with hood. This way I can peel layers if it gets warm. I mostly still hunt so I have hand warmers in the pockets and one of the peel and stick body warmers stuck to the inside back of the coat.
I also carry in my pack a pair of insulated covers for my boots. Walking deep into the woods the toes of my boots pick up moisture which freezes when I sit. I put on the insulated covers and put a hand warmer inside each at the front of my boot. Keeps me toasty in weather down in the teens while I sit for four or five hours.
@Gregor62
Blue denim bibs work for me.
I've read that deer can see blue. Do you hunt from a blind or stand?
I hunt from an enclosed stand or from a pop up blind. Decades of hunting has led me to believe camouflage is overrated. My thoughts are that any dark color works well. The most important thing is to mask your face and hands. Your face and hands , moving around ,looks like a deer tail waving in alarm ,instantly alerting the deer .
Yes
Both
I'm old. I quit hunting when its below 40 degrees or if the wind is blowing.
Big fan of the GameHide line of products. Their Whisper jacket line is good and their Slam Seeker pants are good too. It's not expensive and damn quiet:
I think they may have discontinued the Slam Seeker pants but their Deer Hunter ones look to be about the same:
Now that said, there isn't anything quieter than wool. And I wear wool a lot. Fleece is a decent option but picks up more burrs and it's harder to find good fleece.
For wool pants, I often go the mil-surp route.
Good luck sir.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain

Insulated camo bibs and jacket from Cabelas. I have Hardwoods select and winter camo for snow hunting. I also have a cheap pair of insulated bibs from Walmart, and they were the best damn pair I ever owned. I wore those for 15 seasons. It is a shame they don't sell them anymore.
I agree with the wool when it get real cold!
Try washing the squeaky camo.
You outfit might have been made by animal rights activates. Grins
"I've read that deer can see blue. "
I can't say for certain but I do know that livestock 'notice' folks wearing the brighter shades of blue more than other colors.
When we had cattle, the number one rule; DO NOT WEAR A BLUE SHIRT/COAT WHEN HANDLING COWS.
As for the OP: Always make sure you 'ruffle' hunting clothes before buying. Saves a lot of disdainful looks/comments later.
An umbrella works great when covered with camo cloth to sneak up on critters. In snow I replace the camo with a white sheet. And you can sit behind the bumbershoot and call coyotes. It even works as a wind break. If you really wanna hide wrap either camo or white sheet around you while on stand. Maybe later I'll tell you about my $2.00 portable shooting bench.
If noisy clothes bother you, just go deaf like me and the 'noise' won't be disturbing.
Happens all the time. I think I'm being super quiet and sneaky UNTIL someone says "can you walk quietly?". OOPS
