the dog is as worn out as me.......
decided to get rid of the leaves in the yard today, since I didn't have enough ammo to shoot them all I took the leaf blower and blew them in a row. The dog went crazy trying to catch all the blowing leaves, then would dive in the pile after the one he was chasing. got almost done then decided to get the mower and bag them up, I allready had it drained for the winter so I had to refuel it and yanked my arm almost off to get it started, to lazy to go to garage for starting fluid.
could only make about two passes and the bagger would be full then up to the woods to empty it. needless to say after almost an hour of that, I figured I should do mommas flower beds also so back to blower and then another 15 minutes to mulch them in the bagger and the dog was flat out running circles around the blower then the mower the whole time.
On the way into the house I notice the turnips were wilting as we have had a few freezing nights, so in the house and got a bowl and knife and pulled and trimmed the turnips out of my raised bed, most were golf ball or just hair smaller. the real little ones the dog ate, I hope after about 20 turnips he doesn't get sick. Just as soon as we got inside and sat knife/bowl on the counter he went into the living room jumped up in my recliner and gave me that find another chair I'm taking a nap look!! I thought fine, the couch is mine gonna lay here and watch some college football till momma gets home its her birthday so I figure dinner is on me out in town somewhere.......

Wow hillbille! Sure hope you have enough energy left for that dinner outing! I was tired as heck just reenacting all of the stuff in my head that you and your dog did today!
Please wish your Mrs. a very happy birthday from me. I do enjoy your posts but this one makes me think I need a nap! 😊
Happy birthday to the Mrs. I think the dog just outsmarted you!!! Mine does that all the time. LOL
I feel your pain, I did that leaf thing yesterday. I think the count this year is about 20 loads in the Cyclone rake. That's almost a yard and a half, 32 bushels, of shredded, pretty much compacted leaves in each load that has to be emptied. Add on the raking and blowing around the house, trees and flower beds and I was pooped. Glad I don't have a dog at the present time because there isn't any arguments over who gets the recliner today. Sitting here hoping Rutgers pulls an upset over Ohio State. I know it is unlikely, but stranger things have happened.😀 Bob
