Frank Borman has passed

For those that don't remember, he was the commander of the first Apollo flight that orbited the moon. Another childhood hero gone - RIP Commander. Bob

    A lot of memories brought back to me with the passing of Frank Borman. In my youth, my interest in our space program was huge! I watched every launch, recovery, as well as any tid bit of a mission information that could be had.

    Find it very sad that these hero's are passing with small recognition now days.

    He retired before I joined NASA, I think. Never had the honor of meeting him.

    Too bad, I heard some talk radio guys saying he was a real honorable guy, with his country first, before himself.
