Hey folks. New to the group. I was wondering if anyone could help me with figuring out how much a gun is worth that was left to me by my stepdad. It's a nickle plated cal.6m/m35 with an ivory handle. It's a Browning made in Belgium.

Hi and welcome! Assuming you mean a 9mm Browning P35, we are going to need a bit more info like, any engraving, fixed or adjustable sights, condition, etc... If you can post good clear pictures, that would help a lot.
On Gunbrokers main page, there is a tab for advanced search and then on that page a tab for completed auctions. You might try that and look through the listings to see if any match your gun. Bob
What Bob said, or post up pictures. Make sure these pictures include all markings and are IN FOCUS.
You have either a 6.35 mm (.25 Auto) Baby Browning, or, a 9 mm Model P35 which would be unusual to have ivory grips. Either one will be listed on the auction to see what they are selling for. My guess is that you have a Baby Browning .25 auto caliber.
Good catch, after I looked at the OP again that does make sense. When I saw 35 after the mm, my mind went directly to p35. I forget that not everyone asking questions is a gun person. Hopefully, the original poster will clear up the confusion. Bob

@navc130 called it correct 6.35mm baby Browning with the faux pearl grips. Yours needs a good cleaning, but looks to me like $600 - $900 dollars. Low end if the chrome is pitted, high end if it is just dirty. Bob
Good pictures of a Baby Browning .25 cal. Value $500+ but I am not an expert on these. Prices are crazy high these days. Good luck.
Added: I use a Silicone Cloth to wipe my guns down with. Available at any store that handles guns.
Disassemble and clean is another matter. Blow it out with Carburetor Cleaner and lube with any good oil. Yes, three-in-one oil will work.
Agree on prices. If you are not a gun guy- unlike a lot of .25 autos, the Baby Browning was a very well made handgun- just real small. And the reason we are all calling it a .25- the gun was made in Europe, and the cartridge is known there as the 6.35mm. In America, the round is known as the .25 Auto. Same thing
I truly appreciate the feedback, gents. What is the best thing to use to clean it? I'm sure it needs a good cleaning. I have had it in my desk for years just sitting there. I have actually never shot it.
I would use a product called Breakfree CLP and a soft cloth. I do not like using any product with ammonia, like Hoppes #9 gun cleaning solvent on any plated gun. If there is any opening in the surface plating it can attack the base plating and cause the finish to peel. The breakfree is pretty gentle and will protect the finish as well. If you remove the grips, be careful to not over tighten the screw when you reassemble as the grips can become a little brittle with age. Bob
