Never see them until mid-summer or so and about an inch long, located in Western Montana. This little fella was crawling across my garage floor after a few hours of closed doors and heat. During the warmer months, they are sure active, jumping and running all over the place. Looks like some kind of cricket to me.

Best Regards - AQH
Cricket they are common as house flys in some seasons here
I call them by a lot of names I can not post on here 😁 when one or two make into the house and let out the random chirp thru out the night
and trying to find them is like trying to find that retaining spring on your AR rifle that just launched into the air
now the 1st one like this I saw I had no idea what it was they were living in a old dug out shelter on the property my BIL had bought
they are cave or camel cricket I learned later on
oh good to fish with blue gills love them and my pet tarantula I had 40 years ago loved them also
Smoke detector makes the chirping cricket sound, therefore if you can't find the dang cricket change the detector battery.
Night roach. Otherwise known as a black cricket.
