Mmmm! mmmm! mmmm! Turkey liver and sunny side up eggs, It's what's for breakfast!!!

Due to our son-in-law's work schedule, our Thanksgiving meal is tomorrow. Last night Hot Momma was working on getting our turkey prepped and marinated which means removal of the giblets.

Hot Momma does not like to waste food so half of the turkey's liver found its way to my breakfast plate.

That liver dredged in egg yolk and eaten with a piece of egg white and a bite of toast was fine eating!!!

OMG!! That woman can cook and come up with different ideas about what things will taste good!!

Am I blessed or what??😋

Or maybe not. As I look at the size of my belly this blessing is not quite as obvious!!🤣

My wife and my belly are about the same.

A few years ago, however, she said that she was no longer going to do the whole "T-Day event" as chief cook. Since then, we've gone to one of our daughters' homes for that day (and the other one for Christmas.) T'Day is either at a fancy restaurant or with one of those "everything" dinners you order, take home, and heat up. Neither is as good as the traditional, of course, but time gets to us all.

    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

One of the advantages to a much younger wife is that she will be doing great family meals for many years into the future. Not to mention I'll have my own personal driver and my own personal nursing home operator.😁

I'm not sure she thinks this is as good a deal as I do!!

My mom used to use the liver etc to make what she called hash . Just bits of turkey , egg ,liver etc cooked up in thick gravy served over rice or mashed taters. Love me some fried chicken livers with gravy and mashed taters .

cry Havoc and let slip  the dogs of war.....

Would love to buy a "Cool-Whip" size tub of the stuff but not in my neck of the woods. Come to think of it hearts would be good too. At best I can find on occasion I can find turkey gizzards.
