Out of the woods with a big one

Been hunting since Monday afternoon when I got back from Texas. Everyone but me left deer camp Tuesday evening. So, I decided to kill a big one Wednesday afternoon while everyone was gone.
Camp Croy on the main gravel road usually has a few folks sitting around. They were gracious enough to help me load him on my four wheeler so I could haul him back to camp. Had to take my time dressing him because I wanted a shoulder mount. Got it done and he is in the fridge and his pelt and head are at the taxidermist.
My other two big ones aren't on a board. Since he is the biggest I've ever harvested he will be mounted on a board.
According to the Missouri Department of Conservation everything over an inch is a point so he is a 12 pointer.

Congratulations
Nice looking deer
Congratulations
So far this year just one small doe but I have another chance next weekend
well done !
Nice one!! Are you hunting with a Rem 742?? I used a 742 30-06 for several seasons 20 years ago. I'm not sure why I sold it. It always did the job at a very reasonable price. One of many I regret selling.
Congratulations!!
Holy smokes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is bigger than anything I ever killed. Congratulations on a fantastic buck!
Very nice deer you harvested, he will look grand hanging on the wall. Congrats to you!
congrats on a very nice buck
Way to go Susie.

Susie, I don't want you to start freaking out or anything, but uhh,,, you got blood on your fancy boots!
Nice buck! Have you got a spot on the wall all picked out for him?
Yep, it was my Dad's. Some might think it's a tad big for my 5 foot frame, but it's a hole puncher and when I have a deer in the scope I never feel the kick. As for holding it up to shoot, deep breath, steady hold and a prayer for a clean, one shot kill did the job.
Them fancy boots have been blooded before. Last year's deer took care of that. Bought them to have warm feet while hunting. If I didn't want to get them dirty I shouldn't have bought them.
Getting him mounted facing left. I'll put him where the 8 pointer is hanging in the transition from kitchen/dining area to living area. He will be looking at my 9 pointer I got about 10 years ago. Now just have to find a place for the 8 pointer.
Awesome way to go.congrats
If you keep this up, you will need to add a trophy room to your place !!!
Good job. You may have a cold but thankfully it wasn't buck fever.
Nice! Congrats. Have hunted bootheel country years ago, some monsters there.
To quote Gunny, "Now that is just outstanding".
Show Off!! Good for you. I'm just jealous😏
