So true.
Only person more gullible than a hunter is a bass fisherman . New camo gear is a miracle product that prevents the deer from seeing or smelling you . The newest fishing lure goes out , finds the record breaking bass and automaticly puts him on your hook . Aint life grand ?
Lol, well yeah
I reckon I identify with my ancestors. My '99 Savage is a .303.
I've spent my share of time sitting next to a tree in the snow with cold feet and wet butt. That was almost 60 years ago and I don't do that anymore. When Grandkids came along, I/we built enclosed box blinds-yes, the little ones helped with the project and even used the blinds as play houses for a while. Those blinds are just as much a part of their history as that favorite stump might be to a real 'old timer'.
Ha ha ha....soooo funny!
Locust Fork, Thank you, I love starting my day off with a good laugh. That is funny.
elubsme, a few decades ago I had a friend in Deadwood that needed ammo for her .303 Savage. I searched GB and found how rare and expensive it was. I sent a box to her but a week later I found on GB a guy in AZ that had a box of reloads. I bought and sent theme to her also. I immediately called her to say to use the reloads as NIB ammo was scarce. Sadly she never was able to hunt again.
Maybe in the late 70's when blinds were coming into use a guest set up a pop-up blind. The property owner made him take it down; the supposition being that deer hunters either sat under a tree or stalked thru the woods. times change. I sure spent enough time sitting out in the weather or sneaking thru the woods in northern Michigan.
Prvi Partizan (PPU) of Serbia makes cases for a reasonable price. A few years back I picked up a bag to replace my much reloaded and tired old stuff. Sorry about your friend, I have lost quite a few myself.
A few years ago Graf had new 303 Savage. I think it was Hornady that produced this for Graf but not positively sure. I bought several boxes.
