Wifey came across some info about people putting butter in their coffee, never done it and don't plan to. Anyone here do it?

No butter in my coffee, I don't even use half and half. Whole milk. Have used whipped cream in the can when desperate βΊοΈ

I've seen references to that as well. Not sure why anyone would want greasy coffee.πBob
I have never heard of it but if you like it go for it
I don't drink a lot of coffee , however its always just black nothing extra added
my wife adds carnation " Italian sweet cream " to all her coffee
so much I am not sure if she can taste the coffee. π€¨
Sounds horrible.
An Irish neighbor said he does it (hic.)
I tried a small amount in a small cup & had to pour it out.
Sounds like something you might do to coat your stomach from too much alcohol.
Toolman286, What is this "too much alcohol" of which you speak?
No, and I have never had a Starbucks either. Ma perks a pot of Yuban every morning. On occasion I'll put a squirt of honey in my cup or a pinch of cinnamon.
Salted or sweet?
In places like Tibet they drink "Butter Tea". Unless you live in up in them thar hills you'll end up like a Butter Ball Turkey. Also if you're L.A.R.P.-ing Butter Beer. Now that's weird. How do you melt butter in beer?
What I don't get is Egg Cream that has no eggs.
due to the fall season i out a glug of southern comfort eggnog in the large morning coffee
No coffee with butter here. I use enough butter for a LOT of other things though!
I guess that old saying; "It all goes to the same place" holds true when it comes to butter!
My wife calls "the same place" my Love handles! π²
That does not sound like a good combo. I like mine with only a little milk,
Coffee is meant to be black,, anything else is wrong
Milk and butter both dairy products. Maybe an alcoholics liquid breakfast that doesnβt have time to cook breakfast.
Sounds like it may be a good laxative. :-(
OK, in the interest of science I just now made a cup and tried it. Just sugar and butter, actually it wasnβt that bad, sort of masked the sharpness of coffee maybe you could say. I will stick to milk and sugar though.
I like my coffee the way I like my women: cold and bitter

I've never heard of such a thing. I drink mine black with a teaspoon of honey.
Joe
Never heard of it.
As I always tell the waitress, I drink my coffee naked.
(It always gets a chuckle.)
On purpose? no just plain old Folgers regular roast black.
If you ever had coffee from a greasy spoon restaurant, I'm pretty sure you may have already tried this.
Leaves an oil slick on the surface! π¬
This.
My wife puts butter in hers sometimes. Or she uses MCT oil. Or who knows what, but she dresses her coffee up like it's some sort of Barbie doll.
I have tried it just because and I won't be doing it any more.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
But not black? How about one that's a little tan?
Butter in my coffee and possum drippings on my toast -WHOAAAAAAAAA DOGGGGGGYYYYYY
Dat's some down right gooood cracker right der........
OK I broke down and Googled it. It's a dietary thing. It slows the release of caffeine, speeds the metabolism, and benefits those on a ketogenic diet (whatever that is). One article opined "there are several healthier ways to start your day."
Black..... Coffee is made to be consumed black .......... Butter would be an abomination !!! π
Alright, I have to weigh in.....
I mix my coffee up in a blender with brown sugar, coconut milk, and a little hersheys chocolate. We have it over ice, and I am about addicted! The coffee shops call it 'ice mocha'. I know when I make it, it costs 1/10th of what the coffee shops charge, and it has less sugar and fats.
My dad drank pots of coffee for breakfast every morning. Black. I never could take it, thought it was too bitter. He's been gone for some time now, but I often wonder what he would think about his son drinking fu-fu coffee! :)
Like the above post, I take a shot of MCT oil for breakfast and chase it with my coffee. It is supposed to be good for what ails you!
Butter in coffee? I think I'd rather drink bathwater.
I made a big pot of coffee this morning. I grabbed the butter from the fridge...
...and put it on my toast where it belongs.

I put a ton of Coffee mate in my coffee. I love the taste of coffee mate. Cannot drink my coffee black or with sugar. Butter belongs on toast , that's it.
