Where were you when JFK was assassinated?
Comments
I was in grade school 2nd grade. My teacher was called to the office and came back in tears with the news. A TV set was brought in and we watched all of the happenings from the classroom. All were sent home early that day.
I was too young, there is no way they can pin this on me! Don
The same year I was born.
Still cooking. Had a couple of months left.
I was just over the 6 and one half year old mark
I really can't say I remember it as my whole life I have heard about it seen news clips and news articles
it has all blended together to the point I really don't clearly remember the actual day
I worked with a fellow years ago he was in some group that was there thing
the whole jfk event they would meet in Dallas once a year to go over stories and theories as a group
I guess every one needs a hobby
I don't know dcon 12! There was a story a short while back about a 6 year old shooting his teacher at school. 😲
7th grade. Teacher went to the door talked to someone, came back sat on his desk facing the class and said, “the president has been shot”. I remember thinking, why would someone want to do that.
3rd grade in elementary school. For some reason I remember it well.
As I was 28 months old, I'm not sure what I was doing.
I was home in the little town of New Madison, Ohio. There is no way I could go all the way there and back without my parents going ballistic. So they can't pin it on me.
On Nov. 22 1967 I was on my way to college when a State Patrolman pulled me over for speeding. As I sat in his cruiser a car went by and honked its horn, The cop asked me "I wonder what that was all about" I said that was my girlfriend. I'm probably going to hear about this for weeks on end. He just laughed, handed me my ticket, and told me to slow down.

And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Came home from 2nd. grade. Was a nice fall day and had walked to school. My mother was on the couch, sobbing.
She said," The president is dead ! He was assassinated! "
Lived in the Detroit suburbs. Stayed home with the flu. Rita Bell's Prize Movie was interrupted with the news. The president has been shot in Dallas Texas.
Second grade, also.
Remember it well. I was sick and was home from 4th grade that day. TV was never during the day at our house.
I convinced my mother at lunch time to turn on TV and I would lay on the couch for a while.
After hearing the news I don’t think the TV was ever turned off that day until late evening and was on quite a bit the 3 days.
I had just dropped a General off at Stewart AFB. The MP at Washington Gate at West Point stopped me and told me the sad news.
I think the next day below there was a Bn. formation. 1st. Bn. 1st Battle Group, 1st Inf. Div. That's my Hq. Co. in the lead. I am amongst the many. Drum beat and we stood in silence for an eternity. Our Commander in Chief was gone. I think there is a special name for this. i am sorry I have forgotten it. I have dust in my eyes just from looking at this picture. ------------------------------Ray
I wasn't thought of yet lol
But we still have the newspaper (The San Diego Union Tribune) my dad saved. My dad would have been 15 my mom 14.
Do you think the CIA really killed JFK?
"Independence Now, Independence Forever."

I was a month shy of turning 5 yrs old. I remember Mom and Grandma crying. I remember the country crying.
So much has changed over the years. I never use to despise the dummycrats but now I do. I remember a kinder gentler nation.------------------------ Ray
It was a few days before my 5th Birthday. I remember the adults being glued to the TV and upset..
Williamsport, Pa. delivering building supplies. It was raining.
Ironically, I was bandage up during a first aid exercise in basic training at Ft. Knox.
I was 25 months and 20 days old. I don't remember anything about that day.
I was at Carswell AFB at Ft. Worth, we had just returned from leave the day before and had planned to go to Dallas and see him we overslept.
