I can find nothing on this rare scope. Any info that you could provide would be appreciated.

    I was unable to find anything about 12X Kollmorgen scope in "The Complete Book of US Sniping" by Peter R. Senich. Mr Senich describes a 1952 contract for 4X Kollmorgen scopes with the USMC.

    The Kollmorgan Bear Cub 12x

    Was made from 1956 to 1959

    The scope is a 12x

    Field of view is 9.5 - 10.0 feet at 100 yards

    Luminosity is 11.7

    Eye relief 3.0 inch

    Length 15.62 inches

    Weight 13 ounces

    Tube diameter 26mm

    The value for sale in 2008 was $200 - $300
