Very nice. We got our tree up this weekend, too.
I love that view out your window. ππ²π²

I like that wooden thing under the Christmas tree. Smart way to get a bit more elevation. I may have to copy that one.
I have to say, thoughβ¦.. the octagon shape is just showing off. Iβll be lucky if I can make a square one that comes out straight. π
You should see it in person. I am blessed beyond my wildest dreams.
I'm not gonna tell you how I cut all those parts out of the same board and how the grain pattern follows all the way around...
If you've got a good miter saw, router, and sander it's really not all that tough.
Here's the tree that me and my wife put together this year. You can't see the lights very well, but they are red white and blue. What else would they be, right? π

Neo, where's the cat?
You have a very nice house, inside and out. You accent with decorations very nicely. Enjoy.
The cat's outside or in the barn, where she belongs. There's no mice in the house so no reason for her to be in here!
@montanajoe Thanks! If you get up this way give me a holler and you can see it in person. Might even cook up some home grown ribeyes for ya!
Just watch those extension cordsπ«
Most of that cord you see is just the pigtail off the tree. I finally got my wife not to put 60 amps worth of lights on a 15 amp cord!
We just put up a small tree this year at home. Last year, we has a twenty foot tall tree at the mountain house. Too much work putting that monster up, and I want to stay home this year. Maybe again next year. We will do a little lighting outside and tons inside. I love Christmas.
My wife makes it look amazing every year. It's very cozy with the blizzard going on outside right now. If you're in the neighborhood stop by for a cup of 'doctored' cocoa!
Yep. It's a gas fireplace and doesn't get used much. Our main heat comes from a big wood burning cookstove.
Sir, I like the antlers as a perennial decoration.π
That was my first elk and the biggest to date. 1978.

Kitchen Queen brand. The left door is the firebox and the right is the oven.
@NeoBlackdog that looks like the kind of space you can sit down in and not move again for hours. Nice and comfy! Love the stockings over that gorgeous fireplace. And that stove is amazing. Iβm a little bit jealous.

Nice place, Steve. If it was my place, I'd just get done hanging those higher pictures, get off the ladder, then I'd hear....."it needs to go a little bit to the left".....π«
You should have bought a 25' treeπ
I've heard that more than once! Now everything is measured with a laser tape measure and leveled with a DeWalt 3 way laser.
If my wife hears you say that you will be dis-invited!!!
Funny-We have a similar layout and my wife has always buys (fresh cut) a 15'-18'. She decorates the top off the balcony!!
I like the SPITFIRE print on the wall. I had the same one for a long time. Sold that and a whole bunch of other aviation related pictures to a good friend of mine. Good looking place you have there.
Well...... I priced Christmas trees today when I got alfalfa. $79.99 for a very nice 5 foot tree. I think we may find a bush lol

Too bad you aren't closer Lady Rae. I have 200 while pines by actual account that you are welcome to have one. I cut one about 35 years ago for a good friend's daughter when she couldn't afford one. I have no use for the others except cover for the critters.
