Looks like a 2 inch model 10. If the barrel has changed, it looks like they put a factory correct barrel back on it.
Where did you find R 29408? If inside the yoke that is not the serial number it is a factory fitting number. The official serial number is on the bottom of the butt under those target stocks, which are not original. It should show up on the rear of the cylinder and the bottom of the barrel for a gun of that age, although I don't know if they did on the 2 inch.
The barrel looks right and the extractor rod is the right length. It may be original or it may be a good replacement. A factory replacement would show as a star and maybe a date code on the grip frame.
Usually, there are some inconsistencies, they weren't making guns for easy reference by later collectors.
86318 is serial number thanks yes other number was from yoke barrel is serial number on bottom and matches frame my aunt either gave wrong gun or my memory is slipping
The gun in holster on his side from the mid 60s looks like it would holster a longer barrel gun
Please unload it.
