Picture of my grandfather in 1961 with this particular shotgun. I now have it. Don't know if the '61 Pontiac Tempest is his. Browning patent (Model 520) with a semi-humpback and poly-choke.
Looks like mid-west country; S. Dakota, Nebraska. The good ole days.
Great Pic....thanks for sharing it !!
East central Washington.
Very cool picture.
Many cool factors of that picture.
Super nice photo of your granddad and fine proof of the legacy of your shotgun!!
I would guess the Pontiac was his. If not, only someone very close to him would allow those dead ducks on the hood of a new car! 😁
I had a like new Savage 720 in my Browning A5/Remington Model 11 accumulation.
Looks like a guy I'd love hanging out with. Nice haul he's got there. There used to be a good amount of pheasants in east central WA.
Love this picture. Really cool. It could be a postcard from yesteryear. !!!! Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Oakie
Posted on another forum to identify the model and year vehicle and a member did a color correction of the photo.
that is a 1961 pontiac tempest
Now I see pheasants that looked like ducks in the original photo! But......it just may be my eyes are the problem.
austin20 nailed it, the only year with that grille.
The grill is pretty much the only difference between the 61 and the 62
Polychoke! AKA the Dial-A-Duck!
