7.5FK

The Field Pistol® was designed entirely and exclusively around the 7.5FK® cartridge, and to fulfill the original requirements for that cartridge: low recoil, controlled muzzle jump, useable with one hand accurately, and small enough and light enough to be concealable if required including the ability to carry in shoulder holster, the ability to use quick attach / detach compact foldable shoulder stock, without effecting the loading and ejecting of the magazine. Most importantly it had to be able to accurately shoot the cartridge with the goal being less than 100x100 mm at 100 meters. The Field Pistol® meets and exceeds all of these requirements. The 7.5FK® is an entirely unique cartridge. The case is 27 mm long with a total length of 35 mm, and a head diameter of 10.8 mm. The case is designed to withstand higher pressures than usually used in pistol calibers. The main use of the caliber is for long-range pistol target sports, medium (and dangerous) game hunting, home and personal defense and law enforcement, in addition to PSD's personal security detail, urban / suburban combat, backup (SBR) short barrel rifle, Aircrew survival weapon, mechanised armour crew weapon, among other uses.. This cartridge will not fit in any other manufacturer's magazine, nor will it function in any other current production model pistol other than the FK BRNO® PSD Multi-Caliber Pistol.

Never heard of it before. Looked it up and it looks like it has been around for 10+ years. Checking out the dimensions it seems like a grown up version of the old 30 Luger - about a mm fatter and 5.5mm longer. From what I read it is a screamer and I wonder why I never heard of it before? Around a hundred grain bullet going 2000fps out of a 6" barrel is pretty darn fast. Bob

First I've heard of it also, but I don't wonder far from .357 mag, .44 mag, 9mm, and .45acp

Apparently it suffers significantly from a lack of marketing because that looks like an awesome round. Never heard of it before.

Seems like it would be a good bear pill and given the size you could have some good capacity guns with it.

That is pouring like an avalanche

That's a new one to me. With those pressures it looks like a good candidate for a Blackhawk revolver rather than a semi-auto.
