Took our Shepard back to the vet . Ultrasound revealed he has extensive liver cancer. He has only a few days.
The vet said that when he got where he couldn't get up, she would come to the house and end it.
Dang. Just dang.

Sorry to hear that Jim, we had similar issue with our little guy a couple weeks ago, was riddled with cancer and having a rough time getting around, Other half just had him put down while she was there. No fun at all, but he had a good life for about 12 years...
Sorry to hear that Jim, the waiting it out the last few days is really tough. I used to bury them, but we have had the last 3 cremated. I then mix their ashes in with fertilizer and spread it on the yard. That way, they're always outside where they liked to be, since the bed really isn't an option.
So sorry
Most all of us have been thru it if anything it gets harder each time
Terrible news, take a big part of your heart with them.
Prayers for him ... and you.
We're on dog number six cats number eight and nine, it doesn't get any easier but the current ones give comfort.
So sorry. Been there - done that. My 1st beagle ( long ago) got mouth/throat cancer and I had to feed him with a high calorie protein mix from a tube until his quality of life deteriorated too much. It's a lot easier on us when they go unexpectedly. My hunting buddy's beagle was running a rabbit when the chase just went silent - heart attack we thought. My sincere condolences.
I'm so very sorry.... Our Collie's send there love to you. Again I'm terribly sorry you had to go through this.
Remember all dog's go to Heaven.... (If they don't I'm going where they go)

Very sorry to hear this,,
Got 6 Labs buried along our fence line. Just what is it about dogs that you get so attached😥
That's tough. I'm sorry man.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
I feel for you, Jim. One of the worst days of my life was when I had to put my old lab, Nina, down.
We're all here for you. We know what you're going thru.

I am sorry to hear this. It is always tough to lose part of the family.
Sorry to hear this, I know that's rough, it seems pet losing gets worse as we age as does the grave digging with tears in our eyes.

so sorry to hear this sad news. Prayers for you folks and your beloved dog, they are a member of the family.
Sorry
so sorry to hear this .
Had to put our bird dog down many years ago. But he still sneaks into a dream every now & then.
It's a tough one to deal with. We're thinking about you and your family.
Our pet cemetery has nine dogs, six cats and a guinney pig. We vowed to never have another pet at our age. Then 3 1/2 years ago Sassy found us.....................................Whats a guy to do?
Sorry man, that's a tough one.
Sorry to hear that.
Condolences, Jim. Wish I could carry some of that load for you, I know it weighs heavy on the heart.
Our last dog was a Norwegian Elkhound. She was born with a brain tumor and as she got older she started having seizures. We took her to the Vet and he prescribed some medication, but it didn't help. Finally I took her to the vet and had him put her down.
I would love to have another dog, but I don't think I could go through that again. Every pet we've had died from one thing or another.

Jim, I am so sorry. Wished there was something I could do to take the hurt away.------Ray
Sorry for your loss
I've felt your pain.
Dogs do not live long enough.
AND
I've had to dig graves for my dogs and cats.
But I also have some good memories of them as my friends.
The more people I meet now days the more I like my dogs and cats.
