I was actually in there a few days ago dropping off my Claddagh ring that I wear as my daily wedding ring to be repaired. Its a small store with a couple employees and the owner in there, nothing you'd expect to be a huge target....but he had to shoot somone yesterday.

Good for him! This should be the normal response to lawlessness, but in today's world he'll probably be sued by the thief. Bob
Sure hope the owner/good guy will be OK. That'd be a tough situation to be in but it sounds like he did the right thing.
Know a jeweler with a small shop- he and wife both work there. Nice folks. Perp walked into shop. Started by firing a round into the ceiling. Both husband and wife shot the perp. A few times. They are both OK, Perp? Not so much.
I wanted to buy them a bottle of wine and a box of ammo. Do that a few times, and that crap diminishes.
Well if they die playing stupid games, then we the people don't have to support them for the next 20 years.

I watched his news interview. He will not be charged. Comes across as a mature, stable individual who said all the right things. He expressed remorse for doing what he had to do and hoped that the robber could turn her life around and do good instead of harm. Many times it is inadvisable to go on camera with an interview but he nailed it!
