My saddle scabbard gun is a Winchester 94 .44 magnum that I bought new when Winchester first started making them in the 1970's. But I always thought that a 73 .44-40 carbine would be more appropriate; I guess I should try for a replica but never got around to it.
That's a beautiful rifle you have there!

BEAUTIFUL!! Well done!
Very nice, well worth the trade and then some!
Thank you all for the positive comments. I'm very happy with the trade deal.
Now a new dilemma -------------- I want to shoot it but it's so nice that I hate to even put a scratch on the loading gate, guess I'll have to ponder this for a while.
Awesome rifle
How about a piece of black electrical tape or similar on the loading gate to save it
If you were married to a Super model............... just saying! Don
Can you single-load it from the top? That way you wouldn't scratch the gate.
I am
open er up and slide one in the chamber, you can still shoot it as single shot if you are afraid of scratching it........
