Range day. Why don't I do this every day???

Kevin_LKevin_L Member Posts: 2,011 ✭✭✭✭

Spent an hour at the range with my father in law today. Between the two of us we had 8 different handguns 5 of them revolvers: a 22lr, a 22magnum, a 38 and two 357s. The other three were 9mm: my Taurus G3C and Beretta 92FS and his SW something or other.

It's funny how the simple act of focusing on a sight and pulling a trigger can block out the rest of the world. I don't even hear the other people shooting.

Every day at the range is a great day. If you haven't been this weekend....what are you waiting for??? Get shootin'!!!

Sounds like you had a great day !!!!! I was at the range last Thursday.... 22 magnum, 9mm and .45acp. As you said, it is always a great day when it has some range time in it..... Hoping to sit in the weeds the next couple of days with a muzzleloader and 10mm pistol. If all goes right I will be firing one or the other !!!

I made a trip to Palmetto State Armory today to buy 57x28, 45 ACP, 40 Smith and an extra box of 9.

This is preparation for burning a whole bunch of ammo in the next week or so with my 24 year old son!!

It don't hardly get better than that!!😁

We are still excited about our last range day. It's been too long since we had been out. We want to get out more often now that we both are retired. Being able to go on a week day has advantages.

Good for you for getting out.

I guess one could say I'm "at the range" every day. Since the 11/2/23 fire burned most of the fence I don't even have to use the yard gate to reach the shooting bench 50' from the new shop building.

It is a great time. Spent an hour at the range with my adopted daughter.

She sighted in her 22 rifle and got some trigger time on steel at one hundred yards.

Was a great day. She said Santa was good to her.

I'm getting ready to roll up some 308's with cfe223. I'll light'em up sometime early this week. My gunsmith suggested that powder. I've never used it before.

Im set up like Mobuck, built a shooting bench out of an old wire spool, just completed a new backstop out of railroad ties and sand. Can shoot anytime without going anywhere.

Those were the days. Had one of those spools and a shooting tree in the backyard growing up. No soda can was ever safe!!!

I have my guns to use, to hunt with, and shoot. Some people get their enjoyment out of looking at them, talking about them, thats your choice.
