used brass.......

hillbillehillbille Member Posts: 14,392 ✭✭✭✭

getting things boxed up for the gun show next week, I have 4-5 shoe box size boxes of used brass, some loose but most in plastic sleeves they come in new. most 243,270,30-06 and a few 22-250. trying to figure out a price to get rid of them, you all think $10 per 100 is fair??? thats 10 cents apiece, I don't know what used brass is going for nowdays as you all can tell I have had more than I can use for years, this still leaves me a coffee can of each plus can of 38 and can of 357 at the house........most everything on the auction side is new, I used to leave a box at the local range telling folks to leave their brass if they didn't want it, that was years ago though

I know we are in different demographics. Here at the Topeka Gun shows, brass is about 50 cents each no matter the caliber. I have found a couple of deals for 35 cents each. Just Sayin' If you were nearby, I'd gladly take some of it off of your hands :)

To my mind it is wholly irresponsible to go out into the world incapable of preventing violence, injury, crime, and death. How feeble is the mindset to accept defenselessness, how cheap, how cowardly, how pathetic. Ted Nugent.

rifle 50 c ea and make deals on quanity brass is hot now around here

Although always described as a cowboy, Roswellnative generally acts as a righter of wrongs or bodyguard of some sort, where he excels thanks to his resourcefulness and incredible gun prowesses.

Most standard rifle brass is 50 cents each

Pistol brass is 20 cents each

    Magnum rifle can reach 1.00

    Magnum pistol 40 cents

Odd stuff like 348 or 300H&H might bring 3.00 each

    Hope that helps you out

You could either price it to get rid of it or price it to make money on it. If you find out what the price of scrap brass is you could start there in order to just get rid of it.
