woke up to about 1 1/2 to 2 inches of fresh snow.......

schools closed as it is to cold for they younger generation, single digits. SO I decided to get him out of bed and shovel the driveway. grandson was a bit grumpy but he grabbed a shovel and off we went. MY drive is about 25 x 100 and of course the wife drove over it on her way to work so there were tracks smashed down to almost ice. I made one pass and knew I wasn't going to have the breath to do it, I have been having some issues with shortness of breath last month or so, so I told grandson I wasn't sure how much help I was gonna be and he looks at me and says why don't you use the leaf blower papa? Never thought about it till he said so, so I got it out and fired it up, luckily it was a dry powdery snow and it blew off pretty easy till it would get about knee high, about 15-20 feet, then he would shovel sideways through the high pile and I was off again. On the front steps it did great right down to bare concrete. Just a thought for you older gents out there........

About 9 inches here, shoveled off sidewalk, 6 x 100, before it froze down. Temp going to ciscero or thereabouts and when this stuff freezes down it will not shovel.

Hillbill, better figure out why you are short of breath.

Hillbille, same here in Monroe, NY. About 1.5 inches. Very cold and snow like powder. Used the big Red Max instead of dragging out the Ariens.----------------Ray

Took this yesterday just before it quit (about 7" on the ground) ... 9* last night so it's all still here. Pretty extreme for Middle TN, but not as bad as the ice storm in the early 00's when it was -8* and we lost power for a week. Yes I live that close to maybe 1,000 acres of woods and own a trampoline.

I agree with Ditch-Runner. I've gotten checked out for weird pains more than once. It was a little embarrassing when they found nothing, but the peace of mind is wonderful.

Please go get checked asap. Not trying to panic anyone but from experience , shortness of breath , can be a sign of big problems. It was the first thing that started bothering me when I had a heart artery blockage .

I have been short of breath since my bypass 8 years ago, I lost 1/3 of my lung capacity from the surgery, so for me it is almost normal, the last month or so have been a little worse and cardiologist has scheduled another catherization to make sure none of my bypasses have collapsed. they did the dye test few weeks back to make sure no bloodclots as I am prone to them even though I am on 2 bloodthinners. I think it is just the cold weather and a touch of the flu, but they want to do some more tests so I go along for the ride. since I retired I just sit down and catch my breath before going on, sorta got used to it....
