It's Tequila weekend.
I have couple of limes in the fridge and instead of letting them rot I'm gonna have me some tequila. Which kind you ask? I'll tell you even if you didn't because that's the kind of a guy I is. It's a bottle of Porfidio the one with a glass saguaro cactus in the bottle. I bought it back in December while trying to buy some Camelot Mead by Oliver Winery which they were out of. They also didn't have Lapis Anejo Tequila (actually they never heard of it).
Anyways it seems there is a controversy of Porfidio being not Tequila back in 2001 is interesting. That was about the first blue agave shortage way back when. Last bottle I had was back before 2001. I wonder if it tastes different not that I can remember that far back. Since they're still of being sold someone got paid for them to being sold.

How much does that one go for, @austin20 ?
Don Julio Reposado is the undisputed champion in the 50 dollar price range, IMO.

Strange thing about Porfidio it was kind a Rummy. Had lots of Vanilla notes which I didn't remember. It was strange. Now Lapis I remember to be oaky. I think I'll start looking at liquor stores for it.
I may have to look for Casa Noble.
