A wonderful day today!! Beautiful weather, first Robin of the year, first Daffodil of the year and
the first time the white squirrel was in my backyard. Over the last few months I have been seeing a white squirrel on the other side of my neighbors yard. I could tell it was a white squirrel but at 150 feet that was all I could tell.
Today he was underneath my birdfeeders not even ten feet away from my kitchen window! It was close enough I could easily see its pink eyes so I guess that it's not a white squirrel but an albino squirrel. I've read an albino squirrel and a white squirrel are different critters but to me white is white but what do I know??
All I know was it was so cool seeing it close up for the first time and figure it will be back for the black oil sunflower seeds regularly now.
Simple things can sure make for wonderful days!! THANK YOU LORD!!!

The Lord blesses us with these things.... We are seeing small jonquils, but the daffodils will come bravely in the beginning of February, when the cold wind blows... If I can find my tablet I will post a poem I wrote about the Daffodil.
P.S Maybe you should trap that squirrel and get some Camo on him😁

I haven't looked for my tablet yet.... But the wild daffodils are just starting to bloom. Happy Day!
I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud
BY WILLIAM WORDSWORTH
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

We used to see white/albino squirrels when we lived on a golf course but white sure makes a great target for hawks so they didn't last long.
That is fantastic....I'd LOVE to see a white squirrel out there by our feeders.
We used to have a ton of them here, but we have more and more cats showing up these days.
I don't know what happened...we never had cats here, but now there are five hanging around out there....and almost no squirrels anymore. I feed any kind of animal that shows up, which is a problem. I'm just thankful I haven't had anything crazy like wild pigs or such come around....I'd certainly find a way to feed them.
You don't feed wild pigs, wild pigs feed you!!
I love pulled pork!!😁
