1911 and police positive

Looking at a couple 1911 any help with a value would be be greatly appreciated guy sounds way to high one has been redone and the other looks all original but wants 3500 and the one that looks refinished he has not set a price also has colt police positive nickel 38 but want 1k

Jim, you are getting better at evaluating guns. Yes, the nickel plating permanently puts a limit on the value of any gun, especially when the polishing is bad.
We could probably tell you more about the value of guns if you could get a little closer when you photograph the numbers/writing.

1k is is another world for a police positive imo. & imo $3500 is moonshot price for a "grey" firearm. .
I think $3500 would be on the high side for all three guns, considering that two are aftermarket nickel plated and the GI has a Colt slide on a Remington-UMC receiver.
