Pyrodex pellets in 44-40

Wondering if anyone has tried this and what kind of results did you get? I have some of the 30gr. pellets and was hoping for a mild cowboy load with a 200 grain cast bullet. Will the case need a wad or filler?

Since the pellet is already compressed you do not need a wad. Make sure you are not crushing the pellet and breaking it up when you seat the bullet. If the pellet is loose in the case you could add a wad or filler to keep the pellet close to the primer for better ignition.
