I finished getting all our tax materials together today for our meeting with the accountant tomorrow morning.
My reward..... I headed out to fish midafternoon. I managed to catch twelve in about an hour and a half. 8 of them were in the 15-17" range and the rest a little smaller. It is so unusual to be able to fish this time of year so today was a real treat..
More deer running around today and some geese in the lake too.... It was a good way to end the day...
Anyone else getting any fishing in ?

oh yeah, very nice.😃😃
Mid 60’s today. Expecting nearly 70 tomorrow !
Nice fish, 15"-17" bass are are a good catch. Should be in the 2lb+ range. Not had a chance to go yet but hopefully will soon. Trying to get an order placed for a few things I need first. What did you catch them on?
How do you preserve them? We used to smoke or freeze, but neither resulted in the fresh caught taste.

I am a catch and release guy when it comes to bass. They all went back in the lake after a quick pic. The only time I clean bass is out of a conservation lake where they want you to take bass under 11" Then I usually eat them the same day or the next day....I caught a stinger of them today and gave them to my buddy... He cleaned them so it was a win-win for me...
Around here, Bass season is closed until around the month of June IMMIC. They are a lot of fun to catch. Put up a lot of fight especially using ultra light gear.
I think I shared this tid bit about showing off your catch in pictures some time ago, but this thread warrants a repeat.
