A fellow offering this browning light 12 to me for 750 dollars is it over priced and not sure what choke it is has original butt plate

Think that serial number makes it made in 1952 predating the “light 12” model. Does it say “light 12” on left side of receiver? Can’t tell as I am looking on an IPhone.

Receiver and barrel wouldn’t they be same serial number
at one point I remember that they matched same then quit it in the 60s?? Not an expert but anyone could change barrels in the years.

full choke , solid rib I would not pay anywhere near that price
im impressed that the forearm isn't cracked in a lateral direction from the receiver, not seen many that were not if they had been shot alot. just fyi ill assume you understand how the friction ring works? if not put it into a search engine and im sure you can print some instructions
