How was your Sunday.......

Out and about all day. Provided security for two services at church and headed out to lunch with my son. I headed to a local gun show. It was a small one but lots to look at. There is a dealer I run into fairly often. He always has two locked showcases with some nice vintage S&W and Colt revolvers. A few nice 1911's and other misc. rarities. I did not find anything that flipped my switch today, but had a good time looking and handling some interesting items...
Took an hour plus nap when I got home.... I have truly learned to embrace naps. Headed out after that and fished a few hours. No big ones but enough to make it a fun time out. Snapped some pictures of turkeys and a pretty sunset.....

Let's see: Livestock chores followed by trapline. That was finished by 10AM and rest of morning was spent removing the radiator from the old farm pickup. After a quick lunch, I spent an hour on the skidloader moving and smoothing gravel. Yesterday I'd bought some pipe and sucker rod fencing at a farm sale and we spent the afternoon loading and moving 3 semi-loads of that to our north farm. Just enough twilight left to do the evening chores and got back in the house as the sun dropped over the horizon.
Didn't spend much time sky gazing.
Couldn't go to church because mrsdeere has Covid. As she was feeling better, I got out back and shot some .22 and .45 acp.
Sawed and split some firewood It was a beautiful day.
A day like all days, filled with those events ...well you old timers will know the rest.
Truly a nasty day here. Heavy rain and wind all day. Temps in the low to mid 40s. Spent the day in the shop getting a new to me metal lathe running.
I was productive for about an hour replacing the workings of a toilet that was flushing itself every 20 minutes. Probably would have got it done in half the time if not for my two recovering hands from that surgery I had a month ago. The numbness persists. 😔
I was at urgent care getting x-rays and meds for bronchitis. The cough medicine they prescribed was more like a sleeping drug. I slept for hours after taking it. It also makes you dizzy as heck. I had to use a cane to stay on course. But, I did not cough once. Ok, back to bed for me. Have a good day one and all.
Livestock chores AM and PM and worked on a bathroom remodel in between. Tore it all down to the studs and took out a nasty ol' fiberglass tub/shower. That area will get turned into a walk in shower. Had to move the toilet flange four inches to get enough room so that was fun... NOT! Today I'll get shower wall framed up and get some plumbing and electrical done. Work, work, work, but all on my own schedule and not a clients!!! Yay!
Installed a garbage disposal into a sink that previously had no garbage disposal. That was fun.

Drank my coffee and read the GB board, then returned the trailer I borrowed from a friend, stopped by the little local grocery store. Got home drank some beers while checking out my new mini-digger, had tacos for dinner then not much of anything... Just another day in paradise...
Read the Sunday paper, worked a couple of crosswords in the AM. Our granddaughter and 5 week old great grandson came over, got to spoil him before they left for home in Dallas.
