A lot goes on in the dark. They really like my bird/deer/squirrel/racoon/possum/fox feeder.
And I live in a neighborhood.

Is that a really big opossum? I always thought they were smaller.
Yes it's a fat possum. The Raccoons and possums are well fed as are all the other critters.
That is awesome!
We used to have deer that came pretty close to the house, but we haven't noticed them getting near to the house in a while. My neighbors feed them and have cameras, so I know they are still there. There is so much going on here that I think they have altered their travel path to more peaceful locations....but I'm certain we still have deer nearby.
Yesterday I put the cat food out on the back porch for the "wild" kitties......about an hour later I opened the door to look and see if any of thhem were out there. This medium sized opossum looked up at me and then took off running. It slammed into a cast irom cauldron that is near the back porch.....making a BONG sound...then ran off into the dark. I was laughing when I came back inside.
Thanks for the laugh Kasey, I've got a cartoon visual of that possum bouncing off of that cauldron like a pinball machine.
My neighbor lady, 84 and disabled, called me one night last week, really upset. She opened her front door to feed her outside cat and startled a possum, which took that opportunity to run inside. Now I can claim to be a possum herder! It took me about 15 minutes to coax it back outside.🤩
Around here they don’t wait until dark.
Seeing that it is March and St. Patties Day is just around the corner, I just thought I'd remind everyone........
😁
By the way, Nice Pics bullshot!
By the way, those pictures came from a $35.00 Stealth cam.
Great Pictures !!! Thanks for sharing them. It is interesting to see who visits at night !!!
No worries until you have one of these in your yard ,,,,,,,
Great pictures all
Or, in my house ,,,,,,, 😉
When I let the dog out after dark I always take a flashlight and look around before letting him go. We have coyotes, wolves, bobcats, cougars, and black and grizzly bears in the area and all of them, at one time or another, have been within spittin' distance of the house. The griz was down in the pasture about 100 yards from the house and the previous owners got a glimpse of him.
good shot of the feeder * keep stealing my grapes
Same here @waltermoe and they don't care that you're there.
