They have been calling for a big storm the last couple of days on the local weather. Tonight I was all set to get out there and shoot some lightning pictures and the clouds parted and all we received was a minor lightshow in the distance...... Maybe next time

I'm certainly not complaining about missing the bad storm. We still need a lot of moisture but I'm afraid of what may/will happen when the rains finally return.
Northeast MO & SE Iowa had some tough conditions with slick roads and such resulting in MANY accidents.
We have been getting a little moisture here and there this winter. Like you all, we need more. One of the good things about this dry, warmer winter so far is we were able to get out there and take care of all of the drainage issues around the place.
