My P-17 in 30-06 is a sweet recoiling rifle, but y'all have to remember...it probably has a low chance of survival with a case head separation, especially in 303. One guy at our range had a 303 kaboom in his P-14. Fortunately, he or nobody else was wounded in the event, but it was a very scary event for me to see it happen.
