The aerial tour is worth waiting through the ads.
Battleship New Jersey is the world's fastest and longest battleship and the most decorated battleship in American history.

Jersey Represent!
I suppose "Battleship 2 "will use New Jersey? They use Missouri last time and shot it in Hawaii but I don't think they wanna shoot it in Phily. I doubt even space aliens would land in Philadelphia.
I wonder if they'll use her as a homeless shelter for the "migrants"?
They have a youtube channel just about it
I have watch more than few of them and one of the caretakers ho puts tem out explains and gives tours and explains every part of the ship
I Can't imagine being onboard in the middle of no where and being attacked
I'm sure, it was safer than any fox hole just the idea of it
Had Halsey not fallen for the bait and run after Ozawa, we may have a history of the New Jersey trading salvos with the Yamato. While there would no doubt have been loss of life on the New Jersey, the question never answered just may have been.

It will be fascinating seeing New Jersey in dry dock. Here is a photo of the last surviving super-dreadnought, USS Texas high and dry.

Unfortunately New Jersey doesn't like my travel companion Mr. Smith so I've never had the opportunity to visit the Ship.
It sat in Bremerton for years and I have been aboard it a couple times. Neat ol' ship.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Plank owner of the recommissioning crew, served on her for four years... 1982 - 1986.
She is beauty and the beast personified.
Have you toured the Turner Joy?
You would think the sheer weight on dry dock would buckle all that old sheets of metal.
Yes sir, I have.

Never seen them in person . I have been on the USS North Carolina many times. Also known as" the SHOWBOAT" BB -55.
Would have loved to have been on that crew. Did you do a full power run during RefTra?
Brad Steele
Yes, and she would go considerably faster than you would think a ship that size is capable of.
I've been aboard that one as well, when it was in Bremerton. And the Nimitz while it was in Bremerton (a couple times) and once when it was in Everett.

It is not the longest USS Wisconsin was. It was involved in a crash at sea some years back. They grafted a piece on the nose that was taken off one of the unbuilt Iowa's making it like 3 feet long than the other Iowa's
